PLAYING IN SPACE: CONTEMPLATIVE DANCING

Indivisible is pleased to welcome Barbara Shields, PhD, AICP who is bringing her monthly "Sense of Place" salons, an ongoing conversation of where and how we live.

Barbara Shields, Ph.D., AICP,  and Beth Lorio, interdisciplinary artist and performer [bethlorio.com], will discuss the importance of contemplative dancing  in exploring our connections to space. How does movement in space influence our perception of space? What is the relationship between walking and dancing? Can dancing transform ordinary spaces into playscapes? How does dancing help us imagine and represent space?
